We champion an inclusive culture and strive to attract and develop a talented workforce to create and deliver a wide range of content reflecting our world.<br /> <br /> Job Description<br /> Versant Media is seeking a visionary and execution-focused Vice President of Real-Time Graphics (RTG) to lead the development and delivery of immersive, data-driven graphics across CNBC, MS Now, entertainment and USA Sports. This role will oversee a multidisciplinary team of 3D designers, Vizrt specialists, and data implementation experts to transform creative concepts into illustrative on-air graphics, AR, VR, and XR scenes that elevate storytelling and audience engagement.<br /> The VP will be responsible for building a high-performing team, developing agile workflows and integrating cutting-edge tools to elevate this group into a high-functioning group of creative professionals. The role will report directly to the SVP, Creative Production.<br /> Leadership & Strategy<br /> • Define and execute the strategic vision for real-time graphics across news, entertainment and sports platforms.<br /> • Build, lead, and mentor a team of technical artists, producers and developers with expertise in 3D, Vizrt, and data visualization.<br /> • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and rapid iteration to meet evolving editorial and creative needs.<br /> • Partner with brand creative and editorial teams to translate business needs into technological strategies capable of delivering MVP scenes in a timeframe that aligns with the fast-paced, deadline-driven nature of news and live events.<br /> <br /> Key Responsibilities<br /> • Work across art, RTG development and operations teams to translate visual concepts into real-time environments.<br /> • Oversee the design and deployment of real-time graphics systems including Vizrt, Unreal Engine, HTML5 and other relevant platforms.<br /> • Develop and optimize rendering pipelines and workflows for live broadcast environments.<br /> • Ensure visual consistency, technical reliability, and brand alignment across all platforms and formats.<br /> • Recruit and cultivate a team of cross-functional experts who thrive in collaborative, communicative, and fast-paced environments.<br /> • Promote a team culture grounded in transparency, mutual respect and continuous feedback to cultivate creative excellence.<br /> Innovation & Creative Execution<br /> • Lead the development of real-time graphics and AR/VR/XR scenes for live news, entertainment, sports, and special events.<br /> • Champion the use of emerging technologies and generative AI models to enhance storytelling, including interactive data graphics and immersive environments.<br /> • Establish sprint-based, production-line workflows to deliver content quickly to air by implementing tools and processes that support rapid prototyping, testing, and deployment.<br /> • Continuously refine production pipelines to improve speed, scalability, and creative flexibility.<br /> • Partner with News Operations, Engineering, and Editorial to ensure seamless execution of live graphics.<br /> • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate new technologies for real-time graphics.<br /> • Develop playbooks, standards, and contingency plans to support 24/7 coverage and live event reliability.<br /> Qualifications<br /> Qualifications<br /> • 10+ years of experience in real-time graphics, broadcast design, or related fields<br /> • Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary creative teams<br /> • Expertise in Vizrt, Unreal Engine, and data visualization tools<br /> • Strong understanding of live broadcast workflows and editorial collaboration<br /> • Excellent communication and project management skills<br /> <br /> Additional Information<br /> This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.<br /> This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
