1-2 Years of Experience: Previous experience in a virtual assistant or administrative role, preferably within a nonprofit or community-oriented organization.Event Management Familiarity: Experience posting and managing events on platforms like Eventbrite or similar platforms, along with basic website maintenance skills.Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for managing newsletters and external communications.Organizational Skills: Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage schedules, and maintain digital files with accuracy.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when managing event postings, communications, and document preparation.Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in tools like Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and experience using email marketing platforms is a plus.

Core responsibilities:

Event and Outreach Coordination: Post and promote nonprofit events on platforms like Eventbrite, local community boards, and partner sites, ensuring visibility across key outlets.Newsletter Management: Draft, design, and send regular newsletters to update the community on upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and other key nonprofit initiatives.Website and Calendar Updates: Maintain and update the nonprofit’s website and event calendars with accurate, timely information about ongoing programs and activities.Community Engagement Support: Assist with outreach efforts to local organizations and community members, ensuring events and services are well-promoted and accessible.Administrative Tasks: Support day-to-day administrative functions such as email management, scheduling meetings, and maintaining digital files.Collaborative Growth Support: Gradually take on additional responsibilities, helping senior team members with more complex administrative tasks as needed.
