Must be scheduled to be interviewed.</strong></p><ul><li><i><strong>Looking for critical care experience. </strong></i></li><li><i><strong>Open to pediatric stepdown experience </strong></i></li><li><i><strong>Pediatric experience</strong></i></li><li><i><strong>Preferred 2 years RN experience</strong></i></li></ul><p><i><strong>**Flex Team will float to ICUs, Acute Care, and ER**</strong></i></p><p><i><strong>*Regular Critical Care Float or Acute Care Float opportunities available</strong></i><strong>*</strong></p><p><strong>Shifts available:</strong></p><p><i><strong>Days 7a-7p</strong></i></p><p><i><strong>Nights 7p-7a</strong></i></p><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p>•  Bachelor’s degree in nursing, associate’s degree, or technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement or an associate’s degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license required or must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN with a verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement.</p><p>•  9 months experience in professional nursing (minimum)</p><p>•  RN License by Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse License Compact</p><p>•  CPR – Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association</p><p>•  The ability to demonstrate positive and appropriate interpersonal skills, good time and resource management skills, flexibility, strong oral and written communication skills, knowledge of unit-specific equipment, and knowledge of the nursing process, critical thinking skills, PALS, and interdisciplinary collaboration</p><p> </p><p><i>As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.</i></p><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>•  Performs and documents assessment of the patient/family including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental (age-appropriate), culture, spiritual, and environmental needs in an organized and systematic manner</p><p>•  Analyzes situations, anticipates potential problems, and detects changes in patient status</p><p>•  Re-prioritizes and updates plan of care based on new information and changes to the patient’s condition; communicates this information to other health care team members and documents in the medical record</p><p>•  Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and/or patient care conferences and documents in the medical record</p> <br><p class="p1">Since 1954, Texas Children’s has been leading the charge in patient care, education and research to accelerate health care for children and women around the world.
