Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Virtual Team Chat Monitor to oversee online team communication and maintain a productive, respectful, and goal-driven digital workspace. As a Virtual Chat Monitor, you will be responsible for tracking real-time discussions across various internal platforms, ensuring team adherence to communication guidelines, flagging concerns, and supporting seamless collaboration in remote workgroups. This is an ideal role for individuals with excellent observational and interpersonal skills who enjoy remote work environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor ongoing chats and discussions within virtual team workspaces (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, etc.).

  • Ensure all communication aligns with the companys code of conduct and remote communication policy.

  • Flag and escalate inappropriate, unproductive, or off-topic conversations to supervisors or HR.

  • Support team collaboration by answering FAQs or redirecting members to the appropriate channels.

  • Prepare weekly reports summarizing group activity, participation levels, and any concerns.

  • Encourage positive engagement by identifying and spotlighting productive contributions.

  • Collaborate with HR and team leaders to suggest improvements in communication flow or digital workspace setup.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong command of written English with clear, professional communication style.

  • Familiarity with virtual communication tools (Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, etc.).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask across multiple group chats.

  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive conversations.

Experience
