Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Outbound Lead to support shipping operations within a fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse. As part of a growing family-owned business, this role plays a key part in daily execution by coordinating outbound workflow, guiding team priorities, and ensuring orders are picked, staged, and loaded accurately. The Outbound Lead works closely with supervisors and warehouse associates to maintain strong service performance while promoting a team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Distribute and assign outbound orders to warehouse associates based on priority and shipping schedules

Communicate daily goals and provide clear direction to the outbound team throughout the shift

Ensure all orders are accurately picked using RF scanners, verified, and staged for shipment

Confirm loads are placed on the correct trailer and match shipping documentation

Monitor workflow to prevent delays and escalate issues when needed

Perform hands-on support with picking, staging, and loading as operational needs require

Maintain organization within staging lanes and outbound dock areas

Promote safe work practices and adherence to company procedures

Support accuracy checks and communicate discrepancies to leadership promptly

Qualifications

Previous warehouse experience required; outbound or shipping experience preferred

Forklift and double pallet jack experience required

Experience using RF scanners for order picking required

Experience in a 3PL or fast-paced distribution environment strongly preferred

Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate clearly with team members

Familiarity with WMS systems and shipping documentation preferred

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move throughout the warehouse environment

Comfortable working around dock equipment and varying warehouse conditions
