Primary Purpose Supports communication of the availability of material to regional work managers, job owners, project managers and follow-up on material issues as they arise within the workweek schedules. Assists and supports the material and logistic functions and synchronizing these functions with the business unit requirements and in implementing emergent/emergency requests. Identifies and resolves internal and external issues. Analyzes, interprets, and reports future requirements to the Supply network. Supports communication of any future material requirements to the appropriate commodity owner and supplier. Identify and resolve any material issues with suppliers and or Procurement Specialists. Note: This is a hybrid position (in-office with remote flexibility). Employees are required to be in office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). For this position, will need to sit in the Libertyville, IL office. Primary Duties Supports and assists the coordination of activities in support of the material and logistics process. Assist in ensuring that requirements for planned and emergent work, from planning to the execution of work to operations, as well as the supply organization are met. (25%) Resolve any material request issues through the coordination with the job owners and work management to make the material available for the required need date. (15%) Interfacing with suppliers to ensure the availability and prompt delivery of material required per the work management schedule. (10%) Coordinate activities in analyzing and interpreting future material trends with operations, engineering and suppliers in order to project anticipated material usage. (15%) Reporting out on monthly performance indicator and developing corrective actions where appropriate. (10%) Make decisions on material availability related to planned jobs. (10%) Ensure commodity purchasing is performed for Work Management commitments by placing orders for coded & non-coded items, negotiating with Purchasing Associates and suppliers for releases against purchase orders, as well as creating purchase orders and utilization of PCards. (15%) Support the Business Units' Emergency Response activities as assigned Job Scope Coordinate all material demands and information needs for a diverse client base. Manage the material availability and logistic support function across various departments and suppliers in order to ensure synchronization of shared tasks. Demonstrate solid communication methods with all levels of management across regions, business units, transportation, storerooms, warehouse and suppliers. Represents the clients' needs to the supply team, explaining expectations, evaluating responses and determining alternative sourcing strategy as necessary. Serve as liaison between the region, supply and Engineering Services when necessary for material obsolescence, unavailability or material replacement. Exercise independent judgment to meet schedule demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with 2-4 years' experience or High School diploma or equivalent with 3-6 years of experience.
  • PC and computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Passport, Hyperion).
